Jane Lewis made the donation to assist Ysgol Esgob Morgan with the purchase of a Chicken House aptly named the Omelette Chicken House and in return have had a chicken named after the company.

The club provides students with the opportunity to gain practical hands on experience of caring for chicken as well as gathering and selling the eggs locally with the funds invested back into the club.

Mr Richard Hatwood, year 5 teacher at Ysgol Esgob Morgan heads up the ecological club and has been instrumental in developing the project by setting up an appeal for sponsors, which has been met by Jane Lewis.

Mr Hatwood said: “Thanks so much to Jane Lewis for the sponsorship provided, the donation will help towards the purchase of a chicken house which will mean we can continue to produce and sell eggs and provide students with a better understanding of farming.”

Nadia Gilmartin, Manager at Jane Lewis said: “As a local resident and previous student at Ysgol Esgob Morgan I’m really happy to be able to support our local school and this very worthwhile project.”

Established in Llandudno in 1987, Jane Lewis was named Family Business of the Year at the High Sheriff of Cheshire Enterprise Awards 2015 and has ambitious plans for growth over the next 24 months including adding to its six branches nationwide and strengthening its complex care offering.
